KUWAIT, September 07 (KUNA) -- Kuwait`s Minister of Information Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah underlined here Sunday evening the importance of communication among media people in all specializations.
In a statement to the press following the KUNA-hosted `Ghabqa` (banquet), the minister hailed the Ghabqa was "an original Kuwaiti tradition" in the holy month of Ramadan.
"The party provided an opportunity for media people to get together and exchange views on ways to serve Kuwait`s interests," he pointed out.
"The occasion reflects the extent of harmony among all media people," Sheikh Sabah said, voicing hope for holding similar parties throughout the year.
For his part, KUNA`s Board Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Du`aij Al-Sabah thanked Sheikh Sabah for attending the banquet.
"Sheikh Sabah`s presence in the occasion shows his keenness on communication with KUNA staffers and other media people," Sheikh Mubarak said.
Sheikh Mubarak appreciated the role of media people in serving the development of Kuwait in all domains at this particular period of time.
