WASHINGTON, September 07 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah departed from the US capital late Friday after concluding a three-day visit during which he met with President George W. Bush, top officials of the US Administration, and Kuwaitis studying in the US.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser and his accompanying delegation departed from Andrews Air Base to New York, where he will head his country`s delegation to the UN General Assembly meeting next week.
During his visit, His Highness the Prime Minister met with President George W. Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, Deputy Secretary of Treasury Robert Kimmitt, Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, representatives of the US Congress, and President of the World Bank Robert Zoellick.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser delivered a written letter to President Bush from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait pertaining to bilateral relations, and he also attended a Ramadan Iftar at the White House.
During a Ramadan "ghabka" that brought him together with 150 Kuwaiti students, His Highness Sheikh Nasser conveyed to the students the greeting of Their Highnesses the Amir and the Crown Prince, saying that he had been instructed by His Highness the Amir to follow-up on any problems that the students may be facing
