Historians agree that the people
of Kuwait unanimously chose Sabah bin Jaber to be
their Sheikh by virtue of his wisdom and dominant
standing. At this time it was specially important
to have a strong leader, a man who would protect his
people and whom they could refer in time of trouble.
As per the information available, its thought that
he died in the year 1776.
